Diarmuid Farrell is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, and technologist, working across machine learning models, code, live interactive technologies, moving image and sound.

Farrell’s practice is interested in archival practices, focusing on their intersection with advanced technology. Through a unique mix of natural and unnatural materials, their work aims to challenge our relationship with personal and communal archiving in a world of data abundance and algorithmic optimisation.

Farrell’s work has been recognized globally, including winning prestigious design awards and being recognisedas part of the Digital Transformation Society for their thesis project ‘Woven Chats’ exploring reflection and personal archives in an age of digital ephemera.
